Erick is a limnologist and water resources educator with Michigan State University Extension. His main responsibilities are to promote and research the wise use, protection, and restoration of Michigan’s inland lakes. Erick helps lead Michigan’s volunteer lake monitoring program, the MiCorps Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program, and serves as vice-chair of the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership, where he leads the professional shoreline restoration certification program. Erick has a M.S. in aquatic ecology from the University of Calgary and a B.S. in natural resources management from the University of Minnesota.
